Growth Marketing Manager

What a year it’s been!

As 2024 winds down, we’re proud and humbled by how much PerfectScale has grown, evolved, and continued to redefine Kubernetes optimization. This year was marked by big and small achievements, new customer successes, and innovations that have pushed us all forward. Here’s a look back at the highlights of 2024 and a glimpse of what’s next.

PerfectScale by the Numbers

Our platform’s impact in 2024 is reflected in the metrics that matter to our community:

  • 1826000 resilience issues resolved by PerfectScale automation
  • 444040 Workloads optimized
  • $56296188 Costs saved by PerfectScale automation
  • $207443340 Costs saved by manual optimization
  • 76.4% of wasted K8s costs saved
  • Environmental impact: Optimizing Kubernetes environments reduced CO2 emissions across our clients
  • Client growth: PerfectScale welcomed new clients across fintech, cybersecurity, SaaS, and retail
  • Team expansion: PerfectScale grew to over 50 team members, with expertise across engineering, DevOps, and customer success around the globe.

We Took a Deep Dive Into the Industry (in Numbers)

Reflecting on the trends from PerfectScale's State of Kubernetes Efficiency report, we see a clear snapshot of both the challenges and efficiencies shaping the Kubernetes landscape.

Here are some of the key findings:

  • Over-Provisioning Costs: On average, over 50% of every dollar spent on Kubernetes is lost to over-provisioning, where resources exceed actual demand.
  • At-Risk Workloads: Despite these additional resources, 25% of workloads still face performance risks due to under-provisioning or configuration issues.
  • Carbon Emissions: Each Kubernetes cluster emits an estimated 2,188 kg of CO₂ annually from idle or wasted resources—equivalent to around 78,000 global flights per year when extrapolated globally.
  • Over-Provisioning Stats:
    • 90% of clusters were found to be over-provisioned, with at least 20% unused resources.
    • Over-provisioned CPU accounts for 38% and memory for 13% of every dollar spent on Kubernetes cloud services.

🚀 Product updates you might have missed in 2024

In response to the complex needs of cloud-native applications, we expanded PerfectScale’s capabilities to deliver precise optimization at every level.

These tools have empowered our customers to take control of their budgets, improve performance, and optimize their environments for both cost and resilience.

We strive to help Kubernetes teams operate lean, high-performing environments that are resilient enough to scale with confidence.

We Served Many Successful Customers

PerfectScale is built on the success of our customers, and their stories are a powerful reminder of why we do what we do. Here are a few stories that show the real-world impact PerfectScale has made in helping teams reach new levels of optimization.

Rapyd I Solved Observability Gaps to Cut K8s Costs by 40%

For global fintech leader Rapyd, Kubernetes is essential for meeting their global payment needs across 100+ countries. However, as they scaled from EC2 to EKS, they quickly saw the limits of traditional observability tools, which lacked the precision to address their unique needs. PerfectScale delivered the cost visibility and advanced insights Rapyd required, resulting in up to 40% reduction in cloud costs and optimized performance across more than 15 AWS clusters. Dive into the full case study here.

“PerfectScale exposed the extent of our resource wastage and unnecessary expenditure,” shared Boris Isakov, Technical Kubernetes Lead at Rapyd. “We achieved significant cost reductions and a performance boost that profoundly enhanced our infrastructure.”

Cynet I Optimizing K8s Cost to Strengthen Competitive Advantage

Cybersecurity is high stakes. Cynet knew that cloud costs directly impact their ability to remain competitive. With PerfectScale, Cynet gained visibility into their Kubernetes spending, giving them the insight they needed to cut waste without sacrificing stability. PerfectScale’s alerting features streamlined their operations by proactively flagging potential issues—ensuring smooth performance for Cynet’s critical security services. You can read the full case study here.

“PerfectScale provided the visibility and stability we needed to stay lean without compromising on reliability,” said Elad Gotfrid, Director of Operations at Cynet. “PerfectScale empowered us to meet our cost-saving goals while continuing to serve our customers with stability.”

Trax I From Roadblocks to Results

For Trax, which serves global retail brands across 90+ countries, optimizing a multi-cloud Kubernetes environment presented challenges. Trax relied on manual approaches to reduce costs, but the limitations of existing tools made it difficult to achieve results. PerfectScale provided the visibility and intelligence Trax needed to streamline costs across over 200 microservices, and they achieved a 75% cost reduction in some clusters, saving six figures annually. Read their journey here.

“PerfectScale gave us a clear roadmap for cost-effective optimization,” said Mark Serdze, Director of Cloud Infrastructure at Trax. “It became a vital tool for our engineering teams, helping us drive impactful savings without sacrificing performance.”

Last but not least, PerfectScale has earned numerous high reviews on the G2 platform, reflecting the value it brings to Kubernetes optimization. We invite you to explore the real feedback shared by our users, offering authentic insights into their experiences.
